Thirteen 91ÊÓÆµ Student-Athletes Named NJCAA All-Academic

(Memphis, Tenn.) “ For the second consecutive year, thirteen 91ÊÓÆµ Tennessee Community College student-athletes were honored as the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic for their work in the classroom. Sara Duke and Taylor Moak from the women™s soccer team and Ashton Mauldin and Madison Norris from the softball team earned first team recognition for achieving a 4.0 grade point average for the 2020-21 academic year.
Second team selections (3.80-3.99 GPA) were Nick Vaccaro from baseball, Lara Walsh from women™s soccer and Breundria Ward from women™s basketball. Named to the third team (3.60-3.79 GPA) were Gaylen Rutedge, Dawson Simmons, and Tristian Swift from baseball, Kallen Gresko from women™s soccer and Makayla Ables and Mikayla Savage from softball.
Maudlin received first team recognition in both her freshmen and sophomore years, earning a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average for her two years at 91ÊÓÆµ. Other repeat recipients were Norris (second team as a freshman) and Moak (third team as a freshman.)
In addition, the women™s soccer team was named one of the NJCAA™s Academic Teams of the Year with a 3.19 team GPA.
