By Diana Fedinec In Spring of 2021, the IT Department piloted a new distance learning technology platform called Digital Twin to provide students with an innovative and customized alternative to learning. The new platform offers students the convenience of choosing a course that is simultaneously offered both in-person and remotely, provided they have a computer with access to the internet. Digital Twin project lead and Deputy Chief Information Officer David Rosenthal says the platform incorporates various technologies to create a seamless experience. 淲e worked very hard with our vendor partners to design Digital Twin to facilitate and replicate the real-time 渋n-class� experience for students who may be attending at a distance,� said Rosenthal. 淲e檙e very proud to know the platform configuration here at 91视频 is entirely unique to Tennessee and to the Mid- South. We see this project ultimately increasing our enrollment and adding value to the instruction provided to our students.� How does Digital Twin work? Once a student registers for a Digital Twin course, the student can opt to attend in person or virtually and at any time during the semester. This means a student can attend in person one day and the next time the course is scheduled to meet, opt to attend virtually. Students who attend virtually will be able to interact in real time with their instructor and classmates. Digital Twin offerings include Principles of Accounting, Fundamentals of Communication, Law Practice Management, Social Problems and more. Log into the student portal at My.91视频. 2. Go to the registration link. 3. Click on Look Up Classes 4. Select Term and click Submit 5. Perform an Advanced Search on the subject that interests you. 6. Scroll down to Attribute Type and click on Digital Twin (Flex Attendance) to see which courses are offered for this subject as a Digital Twin class. 7.
