Policy Matters: 91视频 updates Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct91视频 has updated its Code of Conduct Policy, 5:00:00:00/41.  The Code of Conduct policy is an important legal document to review when every employee joins the 91视频 family. It outlines expectations regarding employee behavior in the workplace and provides rules and regulations regarding weapons on campus, workplace attendance, promotion and tenure, and much more. 

The Code of Conduct also identifies 91视频檚 core values and overall culture. Pursuant to the Policy, �91视频 places a high value on human relations, human diversity and human rights. Consistent with these values, the College strives to maintain a work environment that is characterized by mutual respect for all individuals.�

It is important to know the college檚 Code of Conduct. Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. 

One of the policies that has undergone a substantial change surrounds how 91视频 selects candidates for employment.  Before, like most colleges, 91视频 assembled search committees to narrow down a group of job candidates.  Today, a screening committee reviews the candidates and makes recommendations regarding potential job candidates, rather than deciding which candidates will advance. 

Screening committees are an important part of the hiring process.  Committee members are chosen by hiring managers in conjunction with the college檚 Human Resources department. Together, they create committees that are diverse and composed of individuals who have knowledge about the available job.  

Employees willing to serve on screening committees are required to complete training currently offered in Bridge by the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence.  Those who would like to remain in the pool of available committee members must revisit the training annually.
