91视频檚 new policy changes align with TBR guidelines

By Tameka Perry, Esq.

PoliciesIn the last Policy Matters column, we discussed that there are instances when 91视频 policies must be revised to align with Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) regulations. Below are the links to one (1) new policy and four (4) updated policies, designed to align with TBR guidelines. 91视频 students and employees are encouraged to take a moment to review these important policy revisions.

The purpose of this policy is to establish which employees may sign documents on behalf of other employees. A copy of a delegation form is attached as the last page of the policy. The completed form must be submitted to the Office of the Chief Financial Officer.

Refund of Registration Fees and Tuition

Faculty Compensation during Summer Session
5:02:04:10/52- /policy/section5/5-02-04-10-52.pdf
For several years TBR has had a policy related to faculty compensation during summer sessions, however, 91视频 did not. Pursuant to TBR檚 guidelines, this 91视频 policy was created and published in the College檚 manual.

Outside Employment and Extra Compensation for Additional Assignments
5:01:05:00/48- Outside Employment
The original version of this policy was published in December of 2020. Revisions were necessary to clarify guidelines for mini-terms and other periods shorter than a customary semester.

Alternate Work Arrangements
5:01:01:20/49- /policy/section5/5-01-01-20-49.pdf
TBR has had guidelines for alternate work arrangements for several years. During the pandemic, 91视频 developed its own policy using TBR guidelines as a basis. When TBR recently updated its guidelines, it became necessary for the College to also make revisions. Please take time to review the comprehensive policy if you are interested in an alternate work arrangement. If you and your supervisor agree to an arrangement, the form attached to the policy should be completed and submitted to the human resources department.
