Congratulations to 91视频 Culinary Institute Program Coordinator Chef Steven Leake who received the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) 2020 Dale P. Parnell Distinguished Faculty award for his teaching excellence, outstanding leadership in transforming the reputation of the College檚 culinary arts program and dedication to ensuring the educational and career success of his students.

Over the years, Leake has won numerous awards for his culinary skills and community service. Since his arrival at 91视频, the culinary arts program has developed a solid reputation for graduating skilled professionals who are highly sought after by the local employers. 淚 am very honored to be recognized for the AACC Faculty Distinction Award,� Leake said.  淢y students, many of whom face insurmountable challenges, are the driving force that guides my path to improve their lives and equip them with stellar skills to enter the workforce. Their success is my reward.�

Chef Leake is a regular contributor to Memphis� No. 1 morning show, , where he whips up delicious treats live during his recurring food segments. Leake檚 appearances have become so popular that WREG began showcasing his favorite eats and entrees monthly last month. He is affectionately referred to as the 淢an with the Meal Plan�. See Chef Leake whip up scrumptious dishes on WREG every second Thursday of the month between 9 and 10 a.m. on News Channel 3.
