Police Services provides safety guidance during virtual security summit

Police Chief Earnest Greenleaf reviews campus safety measures during the College檚 inaugural security summit. 

91视频 hosted its inaugural virtual Security Summit Jan. 31, 2024, aimed at providing essential campus safety insights. 

The summit was led by Michael Boyd, chief of administrative services, and Ernest Greenleaf, executive director of police services and risk management. Campus staff, security officials, and students attended the summit to learn valuable tips about how to enhance their safety while on campus.

Greenleaf shared several tips about how to keep motor vehicles safe and gave an overview of safety measures implemented at 91视频. These include the RAVE App for real-time campus alerts, surveillance cameras that can read license plates, the 91视频 Emergency Response Team (SERT), comprised of trained members ready to address emergencies and safety threats, and more.  

The summit was organized in response to the increasing crime rates in the city and the wider Mid-South region. Ensuring the safety and well-being of students and employees is a top priority at 91视频, and the summit served as a proactive measure to safeguard the campus community.
