Institutional Effectiveness and Equity and Compliance announce new leadership

Special Assistant to the President Monika L. Johnson has restructured the Institutional Effectiveness and Equity and Compliance offices, promoting the following 91视频 employees to leadership positions within the newly reorganized departments.  

Congratulations to Colette M. Catania, Ph.D. who is the new Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness.  She will chair the College檚 Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) accreditation committee, implement and advance standards of accreditation and assessment, provide oversight of the Focus 2020 Strategic Plan, manage quality assurance funding, and facilitate institutional charters.

Carlos D. Smith is the new Director of Institutional Effectiveness.  He is responsible for administration of the SACSCOC Quality Enhancement Plan, guidance in academic program reviews, management of assessment plans, and institutional effectiveness professional development.

Luther M. Sweeney is the new Director of Institutional Research.  He is responsible for systemic reporting, research needs and initiatives, data management, and data dissemination.

The Institutional Effectiveness team will continue to promote the institution and departmental goals to support evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement at 91视频 through campus-wide leadership of accreditation, assessment, planning, and research.

Inez B. Warner, J.D. is the new Equity and Compliance director.  She serves as the College檚 Title IX, Title VI and VII coordinators, as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) officer and compliance monitor. 

Pamela Saavedra is the new Associate Director of Equity and Compliance.  Her primary responsibility is to conduct investigations that fall within the purview of the department.   

Evelyn McLaurin is the new Equity and Compliance specialist.  She reports to Pamela Saavedra and is responsible for assisting with investigations and serving as the first point of contact for those seeking guidance from the department.

The Equity and Compliance team will continue to promote a positive, equitable work environment at 91视频 that supports both the letter and the spirit of laws regarding equal opportunity and access in employment and education by providing training and professional development to the members of the institution.
