91视频檚 Chris Camp receives distinguished Dale P. Parnell Faculty Distinction Recognition Award

Congratulations to 91视频檚 Emergency Medical Technology Instructor Christopher Camp on receiving the 2023 Dale P. Parnell Distinguished Faculty designation by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC).
 
The AACC檚 Faculty Distinction recognition, named in honor of former AACC President and CEO Dale P. Parnell, was established to recognize individuals making a difference in the classroom.  
 
淐hris is an outstanding 91视频 faculty member who has positively impacted the lives of 91视频 students, as well as his colleagues and the Mid-South community,� 91视频 President Tracy D. Hall said. 淗is peers and supervisors highly regard Chris and consider him a 渞ising star� and a 渨inner.� College leaders shared their 渇ull support� for his nomination.�
 
Camp檚 background in the medical field goes back to 2001 when he was a volunteer paramedic in Memphis, Tenn. Camp joined the Memphis Fire Department the following year, where he rose through the ranks. While working, Camp obtained an associate degree in emergency medical technology, a bachelor's degree focusing on health administration, and a master檚 degree in executive leadership. In 2016, Camp joined the 91视频 team as an emergency medical services program instructor. 
 
淚檓 truly humbled by this award,� said Camp. 淭he students come first with me. I strive to always be there for them � to help them with what they need. I want them to succeed in their chosen profession and as caring and compassionate people.� 

Camp was officially presented with his award at the AACC annual conference April 1, 2023 in Denver, Colorado.
